Enniscrone Golf Club

Visiting Enniscrone makes a golfer feel like they are stepping back in time. Set against the Nephin and Ox Mountains, this course is the perfect place to relax and escape from the pressures of life. The championship course of Enniscrone is the Dunes, which is a par 73, and the other course is the Scurmore Course, which is a par 72. It is a moderately challenging course, with beautiful views. Garden fees for guests are €55 on weekdays and €70 on the weekend.

The area around Enniscrone is renowned for beautiful sunsets. The Blue Flag beach is popular among guests, and the town is welcoming. Swimming, fishing, surfing, and other water sports are all popular activities. Guests can stay in the Ridgepool Hotel, which is right on the water, or in the Breaffy House Hotel, which is reminiscent of the house estates of Ireland's past. The Ballybunion Golf Club is between Tralee and Listowel, and was established in 1893. The Old Course is a challenge, and rewards good shots well. The Cashen Course is considered one of the finest in the world. Ballybunion is similar to Cypress Point in the United States. The courses are par 71. The Old course costs £75 to play, and the Cashen Course costs £40. To do both courses in one day, the greens fee is £95.

Area accommodations include Halpins Townhouse, which is small, but not small on service. This hotel makes a great starting point to explore Ireland's western side. The White Sands Hotel is another popular spot to stay. The area offers many beautiful lakes to explore, and the famous Killarney area.

Royal Portrush

Royal Portrush is another stop on a great Ireland golf trip. It was built in 1888, and has hosted the British Open. It has two courses, the Dunluce Course, which is quite famous, and the Valley Course. Both are challenging even to experienced golfers. The Dunluce Course is a par 72 course, and boasts excellent scenery, including sand dunes and valleys. The changing winds make this course particularly challenging. In the summer, it costs £105 on weekdays and £120 on the weekend. The winter rate is £60.

The Hills of Donegal are the most popular area natural attraction. The beaches in the area also draw many guests. The Ramona is a great hotel, with a family run atmosphere. It overlooks the sea. The Beulah Guest House is also a family run hotel, with easy access to the golf course and beaches.

Mount Juliet Golf Club

The Mount Juliet Golf Club completes a great Ireland golf holiday. Built in 1991, it is often called the "Augusta of Europe." The greens pass by the River Noel, and this was one of the first parkland courses in Ireland. The course is a par 74, and is a championship course. Nine holes have water hazards, and it boasts 73 bunkers throughout the course.

The Mount Juliet Golf Club offers much more than just golf. They have horseback riding facilities, archery and clay shooting range, fishing holes, and a spa for their guests. Mount Juliet offers their own accommodations on the course in the Mount Juliet Manor House. The Mount Juliet Conrad Hotel is another popular destination.
