It is considered to have the best golf resort overall. No other resort can match this aspect of this golf resort. The resort hosts the Mercedes Championship in the Plantation golf course. It is a wide open golf course having high tall grass around. The wind direction makes playing golf a pleasure. There are other courses namely the Village and Bay courses. The rates are $250 for Plantation, $200 for Village and $185 for Bay course.

Kapalua is rightly considered by many as the "golf mecca of the Pacific". This course features a spectacular par 3 fifth hole having a tee at one side of an inlet from the Pacific Ocean and a green belt on the other side. In total, there are 18 holes to be played. The second course is situated at the foot of the West Maui hills and is also an excellent trekking rendezvous. Both newcomers and veterans enjoy playing golf here. It is considered to be the best golf resort for families. Spreading over around 40 acres of lush green land on the southwest shore of Maui island, this resort's pride possession is its delicious cuisine, spa and golf courses. The rooms are very well furnished and maintained and this resort has got as many as 720 guest rooms. For those who desire to have their complete privacy, there are 60 suites available.

A marvel is the Napua Tower, a hotel within the resort with 100 luxurious rooms. The resort provides extensive range of sea and water sports, swimming, dining, work out and shopping facilities for those who do not like to spend their time in golf courses. The 50,000 square foot long Spa Grande happens to be the largest spa in the entire Hawaii Island.

But the best part of it is that Wailea offers the customer an opportunity to play at any or all of the three championship golf courses. Among them, the most famous, is the Gold Course for its overview of the Pacific Ocean on one side and West Maui Mountains on the other. One of the most underrated resorts, not only in Hawaii but in America, happens to be the Waikoloa Beach Resort in Big Islands. This resort is located on the Kohala Coast. The resort is spread over 1350 acres of land and provides a number of amenities to the visitors. There are a number of hotels, luxury residences, two extraordinarily super class golf courses and sightseeing facilities. Visitors can also enjoy water and sea sports, swimming, shopping and a lot of other sports and recreational facilities.

Its location in the Big Islands, the golf city of Hawaii makes it most attractive for avid golf lovers. Among the hotels in the resort are Hilton Waikoloa village hotel with lush tropical gardens and cascading waterfalls, Waikoloa Beach Marriott hotel with 545 well furnished and decorated guest rooms, and a number of condominium properties that remind the tourist of a home away from home.

Kiele Course- Kauai Lagoons Resort

It may be possible that a course is well made, well maintained and provides all the facilities required for high level championship golf, yet the same may be underrated. This is just what has happened in case of the Kauai Lagoons resort, having one of the best, but most underrated, golf courses in shape of the Kiele Course. This resort was awarded the Golf Magazines Gold Medal in the year 1998. The Kiele course is a challenge for even the expert golfers since it requires a number of shots over ravines. However, the lagoons course is better suited for golfers. One specific feature of the resort is the mandatory use of golf carts. Also, the dress code denies the use of denims and requires collared shirts.
