Gamble and Golf in Vibrant Las VegasWhen you think about Las Vegas, you probably have an image of lights, casinos, and gambling. Did you know that discount golf in Las Vegas is very popular? For example, the Angel Park Golf, Siena Golf, and Desert Rose Golf clubs are all favorite destinations for golfers.
Las Vegas: Is It More Than Just Casinos? In recent years, the city of Las Vegas has gone out of its way to provide things to do beyond the stereotypical Vegas gambling scene. Many casinos have added family friendly events to attract children and families while others are built on themes that appeal to people of all ages. Many of the hotel resorts have luxury spas and superior shopping venues. Taken all together, it's fair to say that Las Vegas has grown beyond just being a gambling town. This has, in turn, led to the rise of cheap golf in Las Vegas.Discount golf in Las Vegas is easy to find. In fact, many people come to Las Vegas specifically to enjoy the many golf courses the city has to offer. The courses are not easy, or small! Be sure to rent a cart to golf Las Vegas style! And, like the casinos and hotels in Vegas, many of the golf courses are themed as well! Specific Las Vegas Golf CoursesLas Vegas has several famous courses. They are not the hardest courses in the world, but they are fun! The goal of those creating golf courses in Las Vegas is to design a course that is both enjoyable and relaxing.Siena Golf ClubThe Siena Golf Club has a Tuscan theme. At this course, you will feel like you've stepped onto an Italian beach. Sienna is particularly popular with Las Vegas natives. The 6,800 yard course includes 97 sand traps, numerous water hazards, and has a wonderful view of Red Rock Mountain.Golfers are advised to keep their shots straight down the fairways. On the fifth hole, golfers should not bank too far to the left, or they will end up in the water. Hole nine needs to have a big shot at the tee, but watch out for the far sand traps! Hole eighteen requires a precise tee shot. To enjoy this club, you will spend $145 on a weekday and $175 on the weekends. Also, if you want to do a short nine holes, twilight rates are available. (The Siena Golf Club is set in a residential area, and feels like a residential course. It is popular, and will be crowded.) Angel Park Golf ClubThe Angel Park Golf Club offers golfers a wide range of experiences. If you want to experience it all, plan to visit Angel Park Golf in Las Vegas for an entire day. There are two eighteen-hole courses at this club, a well as a lighted par-3 course featuring replicas of world-famous par-three holes. One of the eighteen-hole courses boasts natural grass, water and sand hazards. With all of these options, it is no wonder that Angel Park calls itself "the world's most complete golf experience."The two original courses are par-70 and par-71 respectively. The par-70 course is called the Palm Course. It has a particularly challenging hole number six, which is par-5, and 525 yards long. There are sand bunkers behind and in front of the green, so watch out! The par-71 course is called the Mountain Course, and has mostly elevated greens, which makes it tricky. It is defined by its tenth hole, which must be hit right the first time. The seventeenth hole boasts a split fairway, so watch for that. The green fees for these courses change throughout the year, but average between $115 and $145 for non-residents. For discount golf in Las Vegas, it pays to be a resident! Residents only pay $60 to $75 for access.
